I. Identification and Address of the Responsible

Mexico Business Events, S.A. de C.V. (“MBE”), with address at Paseo de la Reforma No. 180, Colonia Juárez, Cuauhtémoc Delegation, Mexico City, C.P. 06600 in compliance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (“LFPDPPP”), the Regulations of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Private Parties (the “Regulation”) and the Guidelines of the Privacy Notice (the "Guidelines" and jointly the "Legislation"), puts at your disposal this privacy notice (the "Privacy Notice") in which the terms and conditions for the processing of your personal data are established.

II. Type of data collected

MBE may obtain data orally, in writing, by electronic, optical, sound, visual means or any technology such as internet or telephone.

MBE will collect the following data: 

  • Identification (name, address, telephone, email, signature, RFC, CURP, date of birth, age, nationality, marital status.);   
  • Labor (position, address, email and work phone);   
  • Patrimonial (tax information);   
  • Academics (academic degree). 

In no case will MBE request or carry out the processing of sensitive data.

III. Purposes of the Processing of Personal Data collected by MBE

The personal data collected will be used for the following purposes: 

(i) Identification and contact; (ii) registration in events; (iii) provision of the contracted services; (iv) process payments; (v) bill; (vi) sending notifications and confirmations about the operations carried out; (vii) resolve clarifications regarding events, charges, and controversies; (viii) facilitate matchmaking; (ix) comply with the obligations contracted with clients and sponsors, including sharing user contact information and user interests shared in Brella for matchmaking purposes; (x) meet the requirements of authorities.

Additionally, MBE will use the data for the following purposes, which are not necessary for the provision of services, however they facilitate communication and allow the business relationship to be maintained: (i) marketing and advertising; (ii) sending information regarding upcoming events; (iii) evaluate the quality of the services provided.

IV. Options and Means to Limit the Use or Disclosure of Data

You or your representative may limit the use and disclosure of your personal data by registering in the Public Registry to Avoid Advertising, which is in charge of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (“PROFECO”), so that your personal data is not used to receive advertising or promotions. For more information about this registry, you can consult the PROFECO Internet portal, or contact them directly.

Additionally, you may submit a request for limitation of use or disclosure to the emails gr@mexicobusiness.mx and / or admin@mexicobusienss.mx to be included in the MBE exclusion list, in order that your personal data is not treated for the secondary purposes foreseen in point III above.

To exercise ARCO rights, you or your representative must submit a request for access, rectification, cancellation or opposition. MBE has the following emails to process requests for the exercise of ARCO rights: gr@mexicobusiness.mx and admin@mexicobusiness.mx

The request for the exercise of any of the ARCO rights must contain the following information: 

  1. Name and address or means to communicate.
  2. Document that proves the identity or representation of the owner of the data.
  3. Description of the data with respect to which you wish to exercise any of the ARCO rights.
  4. Any element that facilitates the location of the data.
  5. In case of rectifications, documents must be provided to support the request.


MBE or its managers will respond to the corresponding request within a period not exceeding 20 (twenty) business days from its reception, so that, if appropriate, it becomes effective within 15 (fifteen) business days following the date on which the response is communicated to the owner or representative, as the case may be. The indicated deadlines may be extended only in accordance with the LFPDPPP.

The obligation to give access to the information will be considered fulfilled when the personal data is made available to the owner by issuing simple copies or by electronic means. The delivery of the data will be free, however, the owner must cover the costs of shipping or reproduction in copies or in the format in which they are delivered.

Once the data has been canceled, the owner will be notified. Notwithstanding the foregoing, MBE is not obliged to cancel the data when any of the assumptions provided for in article 26 of the LFPDPPP are updated.

VI. Data transfer

We inform you that your personal data may be transferred and processed within and outside the country, by people other than MBE and its staff. The information may be shared with people or organizations with whom we maintain professional, business relationships, whether they are suppliers of goods or services, with credit and / or debit card payment processors, financial institutions, database administrators, auditors, business, tax, legal and accounting advisors or consultants in order for said people and organizations to provide their services, market their products.

In case you accept the data treatment for the secondary purposes described in point III, you are informed that the data will be transmitted to various service providers related to said purposes.

The third parties to whom your personal data is transferred assume the obligation to implement the necessary measures to ensure, maintain confidentiality and treat your personal data, at least under the same conditions that MBE establishes in this Privacy Notice. Third parties may not use your personal data for purposes other than those established by the contractual relationship between MBE and the third party in question.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, MBE may carry out data transfers without the consent of the owner in the event that any of the assumptions provided in article 37 of the LFPDPPP are updated.

VII. Changes to the Privacy Notice

MBE reserves the right to change, modify or update this Privacy Notice at any time. Any change, modification or update to it will be published on the page: mexicobusiness.events 

VIII. Consent

It will be considered that the owner consents to the processing of their data by not expressing any opposition within 5 (five) business days following the date on which this Privacy Notice has been made available to them.

The consent may be revoked at any time; however, the revocation may not have retroactive effect. To revoke consent, the owner of the data must send the corresponding request to any of the emails indicated in section IV above.

IX. Use of images

In some of our events, photographs and / or video recordings are taken for live transmission or subsequent reproduction through the internet page, the images that are taken of the people who attend to these events, as well as those that are shared by those who join our social networks, may be used in order to document the activities that take place in them. MBE may use, print, reproduce and publish the image (s) in printed and electronic media, newsletters, yearbooks and publications, in all their manifestations, their performances, their editions, their phonograms or video-grams, and in its broadcasts and it will do so, only for informative and journalistic purposes in terms of article 87 of the Federal Copyright Law.

When your image is going to be used for advertising purposes, this situation will always be notified to you by MBE and your consent will be requested prior to its obtaining and use for these purposes.

X. Use of cookies, web beacons or any other similar or analogous technology
